That’s fair. I think the interest in things “beyond our understanding” manifests differently for everyone and not always as a desire to believe in the supernatural.
I also agree that anomalous phenomena intrude on our world whether we believe in them or not.
I hope humanity never stops being curious or looking for the unknown. We'll lose something if we do.
